1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using CoreLock ("the Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Software.

2. Description of Service

CoreLock is a desktop application that scans your computer for security threats, monitors system performance, and provides AI-powered analysis and remediation. The Software runs locally on your device and optionally connects to cloud services for syncing and AI features.

3. Subscription Plans

CoreLock offers the following plans:

• Free — Limited features, 3 AI scans per day, no payment required
• Pro ($1/month) — Unlimited scans, auto-fix, AI chat, cloud sync, priority support
• Business ($10/month + $2/seat) — Everything in Pro plus team management, centralized security overview, and per-device compliance tracking

Prices are in USD and may change with 30 days' notice. Subscriptions are billed through Stripe and auto-renew unless canceled. Additional plans may be introduced in the future.

4. Cancellation & Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the app or your Stripe billing portal. Upon cancellation, you retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period. No prorated refunds are provided for partial billing periods.

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all paid plans. If you are not satisfied with CoreLock, you may request a full refund within 30 days of your initial purchase by contacting info@corelock.net.

5. Permitted Use

You agree to use CoreLock only for its intended purpose: scanning and protecting your own computer(s). You may not:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software
• Use the Software to scan systems you do not own or have authorization to scan
• Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the Software
• Use the Software for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to circumvent subscription or usage limits

6. Disclaimers

CoreLock is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Software will detect all security threats, prevent all data breaches, or resolve all system issues. CoreLock is a supplementary security tool and should not be your only line of defense.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CoreLock and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of the Software.

8. AI Features

CoreLock uses AI models to analyze system data and provide recommendations. AI-generated analysis is provided for informational purposes and may not always be accurate. You should verify critical security decisions independently. AI chat conversations may be processed by third-party AI providers but are not stored or used for training.

9. Auto-Fix & Remediation

CoreLock's auto-fix features perform predefined system actions (clearing caches, terminating processes, etc.). Low-risk actions may execute automatically. High-risk actions always require your explicit approval. By using auto-fix, you acknowledge that system modifications may have unintended effects. CoreLock is not liable for any damages resulting from remediation actions you approve.

10. Intellectual Property

CoreLock, its logo, design, and code are the intellectual property of CoreLock. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Software for personal or business purposes in accordance with your subscription plan.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Software after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Age Requirement

You must be at least 13 years old to use CoreLock. If you are between 13 and 18 years old, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. By using CoreLock, you represent that you meet these age requirements.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Software shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by JAMS in accordance with its Streamlined Arbitration Rules, conducted in California. You may opt out of arbitration by sending written notice to legal@corelock.net within 30 days of first using the Software.
